What is Eco?
Eco is a macOS menu bar app that captures your microphone and system audio simultaneously, transcribes and translates in real time with AI. Built for people who need to understand audio in another language without disrupting their workflow.
What languages does it support?
Eco supports over 40 languages, including Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Arabic, and many more. Language detection is automatic.
Does it work offline?
No, Eco requires an internet connection. Transcription and translation are processed in the cloud with a typical latency under 500ms from when you finish speaking to when the text appears.
Can I cancel my plan at any time?
Yes, with no lock-in or penalties. You can cancel from the Paddle portal (link sent in your purchase confirmation email) or from within Eco settings. After canceling, your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Which macOS versions are supported?
Eco requires macOS 14.4 (Sonoma) or later. There is no iOS, Windows, or Linux version.
